Description

Vintage Seagate ST-225 20MB MFM Hard Drive & OMTI 8-Bit ISA Controller Bundle This is a complete, era-authentic hard drive subsystem from the mid-to-late 1980s, highly sought after by retro-computing collectors. It features the most iconic hard drive of the PC/XT era paired with its matching interface hardware. • Hard Drive: Seagate ST-225 — a legendary 5.25-inch Half-Height mechanical drive with a 20 MB capacity. It features the original factory Hard Error Map sticker on the top cover, a standard practice for MFM drives of this vintage. • Controller Card: OMTI 8-Bit ISA MFM Controller — a rare and premium interface board designed for IBM PC/XT and compatible computers (8088/8086 systems). OMTI controllers are highly regarded for their robust onboard BIOS and low-level formatting capabilities. • Accessories: Includes the original dual-ribbon MFM data and control cables, completely connecting the drive to the controller card. An excellent, plug-and-play period-correct upgrade kit for an early IBM PC/XT restoration project.
